Tarot Dad is from Ponce, Puerto Rico. This design was made for him! Puerto Ricans comprised another wave of plantation settlers in the early 1900s. They brought with them the pastele, which was initially a holiday food because it was so time-consuming to make. Nowadays, though, we're lucky the pastele is a hit in Hawaii and available year-round.
These toddler and youth shirts are made from a polyester and spandex blend that is manufactured to feel soft like cotton. We sublimate the Tarot image onto each shirt, one by one, right here in Honolulu.
