Tarot Dad is from Ponce, Puerto Rico. This design was made for him! Puerto Ricans comprised another wave of plantation settlers in the early 1900s. They brought with them the pastele, which was initially a special treat just for the holidays because it was so time-consuming to make. Nowadays, though, we're lucky the pastele is a hit in Hawaii and available year-round. Our pastele Tarot card features a pastele on a banana leaf, with the familiar red-orange color of achiote in the background. The matching baby socks feature green olives-- super cute!
Our baby bento sets come with a onesie and matching socks. Our socks and onesies are made from a polyester and spandex blend that is manufactured to feel soft like cotton. We sublimate our images onto each garment, one by one, right here in Honolulu. The ink is permanently infused into the fabric so there is no cracking, peeling, or fading, and the clothes remain soft and breathable for baby.
